Organisations representing more than 2 million Australians will pack Sydney Town Hall on March 14to demand urgent action to alleviate housing and energy costs for ordinary Australian households.
More than 2100 community leaders and members of over 400 organisations will attend the assembly, alongside leading experts on housing, planning, and energy – making it the biggest public event about key cost of living issues ever held in Australia.
NSW and Federal leaders and politicians from major parties have been invited to the Assembly to outline what they plan to do to improve rental affordability and security, and make clean household energy affordable for households.
What the Assembly partners say:
“This is going to be a huge event representing every faith and community group in Sydney. It will be bright, energetic, and demand action,” Sydney Alliance
“Everyone has a right to a home that’s safe and they can afford. We’ve invited political leaders to tell us their commitments are ahead of the NSW and Federal elections.” Everybody’s Home
“Unaffordable rents and high energy bills are forcing too many people to scrimp on essentials like food to make ends meet. As a community we’re standing together to say it’s not good enough.” St Vincent De Paul Society NSW
