A raft of new initiatives aimed at increasing Sydney’s supply of social and affordable housing have offered low-income earners new hope of getting into the rental market without a hefty price tag. Projections from the NSW Federation of Housing Associations have shown community housing providers are forecast to deliver 1200 affordable homes by 2020.
