We’re all affected – and there’s a solution for everyone
Renters, first homebuyers and people who just need a safe roof over their heads. What happens to one of us, affects everybody.
It’s time to fix the housing system.
Ordinary Australians are being locked out of homeownership
Tenants are missing out and having to move
And there’s no-where else for many people to go.
What we’re campaigning for
There are 5 simple things our Government can do to fix Australia’s housing system.
1. Support for first home-buyers
Reset our tax system to make it fairer for ordinaryAustralians wanting to buy a home.
2. 500,000 more social and affordable homes
Support greater investment in the rental homes that low and middle income Australians desperately need. We need more homes for local communities, not for profits.
3. A better deal for renters
Get rid of “no grounds” evictions and unfair rent rises so that millions of Australian renters have the security they need to create homes, build lives and raise families.
4. Immediate relief for Australians in chronic rental stress
Increase Commonwealth Rent Assistance for the thousands of Australians who are struggling to pay the rent.
5. A plan to end homelessness by 2030
With real effort we can halve homelessness infive years - and end it in 10.
