Federal Budget 2022: Invest in social housing

Over the past year rising rents have squeezed more and more people out of the rental market and into homelessness.

More families are paying so much of their income in rent they are forced to go without other essentials, like decent food, or health or education costs.

And right now, hundreds of families are newly homeless after losing their homes in floods.

The need for more social housing has never been more urgent.

The Budget on 29 March is Treasurer Josh Frydenberg’s last chance to deliver more social housing and relief to renters before the election.

Can you email the Treasurer and call on him to invest in social housing and an increase in Commonwealth Rent Assistance.

Struggling renters around Australia are counting on the Federal Government to take responsibility for fixing the housing crisis.

Only Josh Frydenberg can include the investment needed in his Federal Budget.

Can you help call on him to take action.
